ENJOY LIFE WHILE TRAVELLING

We spend too much time worrying about, and then trying to ensure that our skin is always in good shape. When we say good shape, we mean skin that looks bright, moisturised, and radiant. Everywhere, and at all times. We refuse to lower our standards! As well as providing a protective layer against external environmental aggressors, our skin is key at the time of making first impressions.

And second impressions. In fact, every single impression. This is why we work tirelessly to achieve skin that looks glowing and fresh. Here, we have compiled a number of tips suggested by our duty free stores Beauty Consultants. Read on to find out the beauty specialist secrets to achieving a healthy complexion, regardless of skin type, colour, and age.

1. Use beauty products that contain energising ingredients

Modern life is always complex. We are constantly on the go, which means that we can always use an extra bit of energy, can’t we? It is exactly the same as our skin. This is why using products that feature not only nourishing properties but also energising agents, will help to achieve glowing and vital looking skin.

A good skincare option is La Mer The Renewal Oil, a multi-tasking treatment that moisturises from head to toe. One of its secrets is Miracle Broth ™, a compound of hand-collected sea algae, and other mineral nutrients, that provide a shock of vital energy.

Use this oil to speed up the five natural steps of the skin healing process: hydration, regeneration, soothing, smoothness, and luminosity. Help your skin get back to a healthier state.

2. Give yourself facial massages on a regular basis

Practice makes perfect. Developing an unwavering skincare routine is as important as the products you regularly use. The skin will get used to the new regime, settle, and become able to obtain better results. But it is not just that.

Practice helps you achieve superior results and teaches you how to better detect areas where extra care is needed, in good time. To those who are new to skin self-care techniques, the advice is to begin applying face cream on the cheekbone, and neck areas. Gently (but firmly) press the palm of your hand on your face, and start massaging towards the ears. Continue massaging from the centre of the face towards the ears, and from the centre of the forehead out to the sides.

Use the same procedure for the neck, starting at the throat, and then moving towards the ears. Finally, use the tips of your fingers to make circles on the side of the eyes.

3. Use a top-quality moisturiser every day

There are some areas in skincare where one shouldn’t really care about the price! When you buy premium beauty products, you are investing rather than just spending. Plus, it is an investment that pays off in the long run, when you see that the results are long-lasting, and your skin glows radiantly. It is not just about looking good. It is mostly about feeling young and natural. Remember to take care of your facial skin on a daily basis.

We highly recommend Ren Clean Skincare Glow Daily Vitamin C Gel Cream. This is a light gel-cream moisturiser that will hydrate and illuminate your skin. It combines Vitamin C stabilised with Magnesium and Tara Pod extract. Perfect for all skin types, this cream moisturises without causing irritation. The non-greasy and light texture is easily absorbed by your skin, without leaving a residue. This makes this serum perfect for sensitive, or acne-prone skin.

4. Exfoliate regularly (but not too often!)

Exfoliation is a necessary step in order to maintain clean and healthy-looking skin. This process eliminates the top skin layers of dead cells and prepares the pores for the hydrating cream, which can now penetrate into the deepest layers. The exfoliating technique consists of making small circular movements to remove the layers of dead skin cells that can give a dull and tired look.

To be fair, this is a simple technique to practise at home. However, make sure you don’t overdo it! Our specialists recommend exfoliating a maximum of once a week. After the age of 30, you should exfoliate regularly, every 7 to 10 days. If you are younger than 30, you should not exfoliate often at all, to take the best care of your skin. What about exfoliating products? Body scrubs or exfoliators tend to be thicker in texture and contain stronger agents than face exfoliators.

Remember to also gently exfoliate your lips, an area of our faces that we sometimes forget to take care of.

5. Use a top-quality serum every day

No, this is not an editing error, and we are not just repeating ourselves! In fact, we want to highlight this point. ALWAYS USE A TOP OF THE RANGE SERUM. It is vital to use good quality skin products. There is nowhere else in the world that presents you with more beauty product choices than our duty free stores. Hopefully, your next travelling experience will also be a holiday for your skin!
