After three years of enormous success, Good Girl is reinvented with Dot Drama. A limited edition Eau de Parfum that honours Polka Dots, the Venezuelan designer’s signature detail.

The legacy of Polka Dots

Polka Dots are part of Casa Herrera’s heritage. They reference ancestral Spanish culture and European Haute Couture, as well as complementing the designer’s legacy. Always present in Carolina Herrera’s collections since her debut in 1981 at New York’s Metropolitan Club. Printed, embroidered, huge or tiny, as a drop of water on tulle, in different colours and textures. Always part of the design. Carolina Herrera presented her first fragrance in 1988. The original packaging featured an explosion of polka dots. The launch of this scent started a successful trajectory in the perfume market.

In 2019, more than thirty years later, the brand again pays homage to Polka Dots in their Spring/Summer collection, which features loose shirts with maxi necks, the ‘80s inspired mini dresses, and dotty balloon sleeves, that seem to blend into a Cubist painting. Naturally, polka dots are again making a triumphal return to CH fragrances.

Good Girl Collector Edition Dot Drama

The year 2019 marks the third anniversary of the collaboration between the American model, and Carolina Herrera Perfumes. What better way of celebrating this scent than strengthening bonds within a joint artistic project? In this case, Carolina Herrera de Baez (daughter of the Venezuelan designer, and responsible for the fragrance market), joined forces with Karlie Kloss to create Good Girl Dot Drama Collector Edition.
 

“The shoe is highly expressive. The design had to emphasise its message by evoking powerful femininity. It had to build bridges between the past, the present and the future. It also had to connect Karlie to the origins of the brand”, comments Herrera de Baez. With this objective in mind, they searched the company’s archives together, looking for inspiration. “It was an amazing and fulfilling experience: 2019 marks Carolina Herrera’s 38th anniversary. Its aesthetic and cultural legacy is so vast… Perusing the archives was a dream come true”, recalls Karlie Kloss.

 

For demanding consumers

This Collector Edition is a prize for all loyal fans of Good Girl. The elegant wrapping is signed by Karlie Kloss. The perfume bottle is also worthy of collecting. The iconic stiletto-shaped shoe is decorated with polka dots, and the vertiginous heel shines in gold.

This is a fragrance of the oriental floral family, created by British perfumer Louise Turner. She designed a scent that relies on duality. The luminosity of the Nard flower, and the Sambac Jasmin (amplified by orange blossoms, bergamot, and lily), contrasts with the sweet darkness of Tonka beans and cacao. These notes are intensified by vanilla, almond, musk, praline and patchouli, as well as sandal and cedar woods.

Dot Drama suggests mystery and elegance. A fragrance that is a certain success.
