Fans of Gucci’s feminine Bloom fragrances should prepare themselves for the latest chapter in the brand story. With Acqua di Fiori, Gucci creative director, Alessandro Michele, had a really clear vision.
“I wanted a rich white floral fragrance, a courageous scent that transports you to a vast garden filled with many flowers and plants, a bouquet of abundance.” he says. “The garden is as beautiful as women are; colourful, wild, diverse, where there is everything.”
Such a heady mix of floral tones is hard to achieve, so master perfumer, Alberto Morillas was called upon to bring his talents to the new scent. Adding Green Galbanum and dainty Cassis buds to the original signature scent, Morillas has created a masterful blend of green accords, delivering soft dewy freshness to a light, aquatic composition that delights the senses.
The garden theme is carried on through the packaging and design, like wild vines. Whimsical whorls of leaves, cherry branches and flowers adorn the label of the vintage powder-pink rose bottle, while a floral Herbarium print elevates the carton, inside and out.
