THE BEST OF BRANDS

If you are a lover of fine whisky or wish to buy a very special gift, you should take the opportunity to make a stopover at duty free, and take home a bottle of The Glen Grant 18 Year Old. Chosen by whisky critics who really know their stuff.

Multi-Awarded Whisky

The Glen Grant 18 Year Old, the rarest variant in the range, was once again named “Scotch Whisky of the Year”, “Single Malt of the Year”, and “Best Single Malt 16-21 Years”, by influential whisky writer and critic Jim Murray. This single malt has been awarded first place in the above categories four years running. Jim tested 1,241 new samples for his Whisky Bible 2020 edition. He chose The Glen Grant as the best Scotch of the year.

Jim Murray has remarked that this stunning single malt “carried the banner for Scotland”, and displayed “Speyside Whisky in its most sparkling light”. Murray also stated that he could find no faults in the liquid, and called it, “As usual, sublime”, adding that “this distillery has just upped its game. Though, perhaps it does have two new challengers now: The Glen Grant 15 Year Old and The Glen Grant Rothes Chronicles Cask Haven”.

In detail

This unrivalled single malt matures for at least 18 years in the highest quality, handpicked oak casks, creating a radiant golden colour, and seductive floral and oaky aroma. This rich and vibrant whisky delivers beautifully intricate flavours of malted caramel, vanilla and raisins and lingers with a long, sweet, and pleasantly spicy finish.

A flavour full of history

Founded in 1840 by brothers John and James Grant in Speyside, Scotland, The Glen Grant boasts a remarkable, double distillation process, which sets its single malts apart from the rest of the competition. The result produces the refined and seductively smooth taste for which The Glen Grant is renowned.
