A Bottle Fit for an Empress
Pierre-François-Pascal Guerlain created the first Bee Bottle in 1853 for Empress Eugénie, wife of Napoléon III. The bottle, which is decorated with a flurry of bees, has become synonymous with the luxury of Guerlain parfum.
This famous Guerlain bee motif has emerged from the archives for the Mon Guerlain anniversary edition. To bring a modern element to a classic design, Guerlain has worked with Giselle Balosso-Bardin, the French artist renowned for her elegantly cut paper design. A Fragrance for the Next 190 Years
While still in its infancy, Mon Guerlain is on a path to become a certifiable classic alongside Guerlain hits Shalimar and Mitsouko. Created by Guerlain’s Master Perfumer Thierry Wasser, Mon Guerlain brings Carla Lavender from Provence together with Sambac Jasmine from India, Album Sandalwood from Australia, and Vanilla Tahitensis from Papua New Guinea. Taking its inspiration from around the world, and sourcing its cherished ingredients from the four corners of the world, wraps Mon Guerlain in a shroud of luxury. To wear it is to feel emboldened and unique.
When you spray it on to your skin, you will first notice bright and punchy notes of bergamot, mandarin and pear. Then, at its heart, you’ll discover neroli, sambac, jasmine and lavender, and once left on the skin for a while, smoky, heady traces of iris, vanilla and sandalwood begin to poke through.
