Chiara Ferragni X Lancôme: the make-up collection you need to have

The famous fashion influencer has joined Lancôme to create a makeup collection

It is unusual not to have heard her name before. Chiara Ferragni is one of the best-known influencers in the world. Her social network has been a major help in making her a fashion entrepreneur. At the age of 32, Chiara’s profile is one of the most sought after by the leading brands.

The genesis of success

Chiara was born in Cremona, Italy. Daughter of Marco Ferragni, a dentist, and Marina Di Guardo, a writer. Chiara launched her blog, The Blond Salad, in October 2009. At the time she was reading Law at Bocconi University in Milan. Initially, the content of her digital space was varied, eventually deciding to focus on fashion. This decision brought stellar success for her blog, which continues to this day.

In March 2011, New York Magazine presented her as one of the biggest stars of the year in their Street Style section. Towards the end of the same year, American Teen Vogue described her as ‘Blogger Of The Moment’. Nowadays, Chiara is married to the Italian rapper Fedez and had her first son Leo in March 2018. A power couple that became a family of style influencers.

 

A big success amongst the great brands

Chiara has modelled for Guess and has written an e-book where she shared style advice. In 2104, Chiara collaborated with Steve Madden (the shoe designer) to create a shoe collection consisting of 9 different designs. Perhaps this experience was the catalyst for creating her own shoe collection, easily identified by glittery eyes on slippers.

She has also collaborated with other brands such as Guerlain, Dior, Hugo Boss, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Bottega Veneta, Yves Saint Laurent, Valentino, Grey Goose, Rolls-Royce, Ermenegildo Zegna, Tommy Hilfiger and Kenzo, amongst others. This year finds her involved in a spectacular new campaign for Lancôme.

 

 

Influential Makeup

After years jet setting around the world, invited to sit in the front row for the best catwalk collections, and reporting live from the Cannes Festival, the Italian has just launched a makeup collection, working alongside with French luxury cosmetic brand Lancôme.

The new collection presents eight different beauty products specifically designed to get the Chiara Ferragni’s look: nude makeup, radiant and dewy skin, and pinky brown eyeshadow. The trend is definitely makeup no makeup.

The Italian blogger chose to name the products with concepts that define her lifestyle: Independent Women, Sweet Mom, Positive Attitude, or Girl Next Door, for example. Considered the hero of the collection, this palette has 13 mixes and match colours, including four luscious earth tones. In the palette, you will find 4 lipsticks, 4 eyeshadows, 1 blusher, 3 highlighters, and 1 lipgloss. This is a limited edition collection, presented in pink glittery packaging, the perfect Ferragni touch. A powerful alliance indeed.
