You could argue that a lipstick is just a lipstick, right? Tried one and you’ve tried them all? Well, not so. This is not just another red lipstick. Guerlain has reinvented the rules of colour, scent and design with Rouge G, a luxury jewellery lipstick that comes in 20 intense shades and is completely customisable (as you will see in just a moment).

Rouge G de Guerlain is a pretty innovative formula. As well as exceptionally rich pigments, Rouge G has been enriched with plant-based polymers and silver microcrystals that enhance lips and create long-lasting colour. The formula is bolstered with jojoba and mango butter to nourish, and hyaluronic acid and guggul resin (from the sap of the Commiphora mukul tree, which is native to India) to smooth and plump. And here’s something you might not have considered before: how your lipstick smells is important. Afterall, it will be nestled on your lips, not too far from your nose, for much of the day. Rouge G de Guerlain has been formulated with the sweet and intoxicating scent of vanilla ‘floriental’ leaves. The notes in Rouge G have been composed in the same way you would a fine fragrance: it has top notes of sparkling lemon, orange and bergamot, heart notes of rose and iris and a base of vanilla and tonka bean.
