Love that springs from hate
The new Absolut bottle, available now in duty free, is turning hate into a force for good
Watching footage of hate marches and campaigns can often leave you feeling helpless. Certainly that’s how we’ve felt at times here at Forum. Thankfully, Absolut has decided to do something uplifting with some of the negative noise in the world, turning it into a beacon of hope. And we love it.
Absolut travelled to racist and anti-LGBTQ protests, collected hate signs, extracted the ink and reused the ink to create the mint and pink Absolut bottle outlines printed on the limited edition bottles. The bottle design also has the word love in multiple languages showing that love has no borders. Ink is not the only element that has been repurposed, as the bottle has also been made using 70% recycled glass including recycled glass from previous limited edition bottles.
Of course the vodka inside the Absolut Drop remains their classic, made exclusively from natural ingredients and with no added sugar. The taste profile is full bodied, yet mellow – with a distinct and iconic smoothness that can’t be beaten. A Drop of Love is available in pink or green, and is available in duty free stores now.

Absolut Love Drop
A sweeter way to enjoy your shot.
You’ll need:
- 25ml Absolut
- 10ml Grenadine
- 15ml lemon juice
How to mix it:
Simply pour all the ingredients into an ice-filled shaker. Shake and strain into a shot glass and top with a fresh raspberry or chocolate-dipped strawberry.
Absolut Honey Highball
A drop of love and a little honey ginger.
You’ll need:
- 50ml Absolut
- 25ml lime juice
- 1 heaped bar spoon of honey, or 20ml of honey mixed with water
- Topped with Kombucha or ginger ale
How to mix it:
Pour the honey, lime and Absolut into a shaker. Shake and strain into a highball glass filled with ice cubes. Top with ginger ale or Kombucha and garnish with two orange slices.
