Songs of Fire and Ice land at Melbourne Duty Free
The magic world of Westeros has arrived at Dufry Australia, with the introduction of two new Johnnie Walker whiskies, inspired by the successful HBO series Game of Thrones.
The mix bar at Melbourne Duty Free has been transformed to embody the marked contrast between fire and ice. The space is decorated with a great arch, featuring Dire Wolves and Dragons on each side, creating an ideal setting for fans of the series to have the perfect photograph taken. At the bar, both whiskies are available to try, alongside White Walker, the original Johnnie Walker Game of Thrones blend.
Inspired by House Stark, Johnnie Walker’s A Song of Ice features single malts from Clynelish, one of Scotland’s most northern distilleries, located in the Highlands. The bottle features a Dire Wolf on the label, the hallmark of House Stark. Like a song of ice, it exudes a crisp and clean taste. With a nod to the North, it is recommended to be served on ice.
A Song of Fire is inspired by House Targaryen. This whisky features a blend of malts from the Caol Ila Distillery on Islay. The label on the bottle is adorned with House Targaryen’s icon, a dragon. A Song of Fire is a rich and spicy whisky, boasting the flavours of subtle smoke from the peated malts.
For a limited time, you can enjoy a 15% discount when purchasing two bottles of Johnnie Walker White Walker. A Song of Fire, and A Song of Ice, are limited editions, only available whilst stocks last!
