Three Liqueurs to be enjoyed on a cold day
Winter is coming, and many occasions can provide good opportunities to enjoy a warm drink.
The seasons change, and new pleasures arrive. Chocolate. Coffee. Reading a book next to an open fireplace. If your year has been a bit stressful, and you want to relax, why not do so sitting in an armchair with a hot drink? Alcohol does not always go well with ice. This is why we are recommending these three choices, all ideal for a cold night.
Ginger Bacardi
This is a golden rum infused with ginger, and created to satisfy the growing demand for flavoured liqueurs. Classic drinks infused with flavours are very trendy right now. The brand describes this rum as being both sweet and spicy.
If you are the kind of person who enjoys trying new and interesting flavours, this is the right drink for you. Whilst this rum is recommended to be mixed with cola or lemonade and ice, it is also perfect for the colder months.
If you want to savour this drink on a cold day, we recommend adding 25 ml of dark chocolate, a measure of espresso, a pinch of chilli pepper flakes, and 20 ml of white sugar. Mix, and you will have a super original cocktail, perfect for chilly days.
Grey Goose Vanilla
The super premium French vodka presents a new version, Grey Goose La Vanille, ideal for lovers of fine drinks. Grey Goose is made with wheat from the Picardy region in France, and pure water from the Gensac springs.
You cannot improve on the world’s most flavourful vodka, this time with added vanilla. To enjoy it in winter, we recommend mixing it with coffee or Irish cream liqueur, and garnishing with Chantilly cream.
SS Diplomático Reserva Exc
This is the world’s most awarded rum in its category. Amber coloured, with aromas of orange peel, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
Those in the know describe the bouquet as elegant, with a very pleasant flavour. It combines aged oak and syrup notes. The finish is both intense and mellow, leaving subtle tones on the palate.
This liqueur can be enjoyed by adding lemon juice and maple syrup. However, the flavour is so spectacular that we recommend drinking it neat.
