La Mer presents a limited edition, perfect for design and photography lovers. Legendary photographer Mario Sorrenti was in charge of reimagining the classic Crème de la Mer jar, with images captured at the Edge of the Sea.
The creator
Mario Sorrenti was born in Naples but has lived in New York for most of his life. The eldest child of three brothers born to artistic parents, he grew up in a liberal environment where he learnt to appreciate the beauty of free and naked bodies. Unsurprisingly, nudes are a recurrent theme in his photographs.
Sorrenti’s career began in the 90s and has not slowed down since. Prestigious brands such as Hugo Boss, Nina Ricci, Giorgio Armani, and Chloé, have all entrusted their publicity campaigns to his professional lens.
Additionally, he has portrayed some of the most significant personalities and celebrities, for the most important magazine covers.
This time, Sorrenti and his photographer daughter Gray, use their artistic eye (and camera lens) to capture images of the sea, for La Mer’s new edition.
Mario Sorrenti shared on Instagram: “I'm so proud to share this beautiful project that Gray and I collaborated on for La Mer. We spent months taking pictures and making a film to capture our passion for life and the sea. I want to thank the brilliant creative team at La Mer for such a dream project".
